Nano materials and technology is a course about physics, chemical characteristics and function application, preparation and analysis of nano materials. The purpose of this course is to make students master the basic theory of nano materials, such as the quantum size effect, small size effect, surface effect, master the basic preparation and characterization methods of nano materials such as nanoparticles, nanotubes and nanofilms, and understand the special physical and chemical properties, the function application and the characterization and analysis methods about nano materials. In this course, the properties change of optics, electricity and magnetic and the application of nanometals, nanosemconditor and nanoceremics will be illustrate through many examples. And the preparation methods and technology of nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanorods and nano thin film will be illustrated. After Course learning, the students will have a full understanding of nano materials such as physical and chemical properties, preparation and characterization methods. And the students will realize the effects and importance of nanoscience and nanotechnology to the world through this course. The course will broaden the insight of the students to today's Materials Science Frontiers and enhance their ability of study and creation, improve the students' comprehensive ability and make them be high-level, creative graduate students.
