Chemical reaction engineering course is that engineering activity concerned with the exploitation of chemical reactions on a commercial scale. Combined with transfer process of the fluid in the reactor, Chemical thermodynamics and chemical kinetics is not only used in the analysis of reaction process, but also the development of reaction technology. They also have important value to design of the reactor. Its goal is the successful design and operation of chemical reactors, and probably more than any other activity it sets chemical engineering apart as a distinct branch of the engineering profession. Chemical reaction engineering course is designed to meet the development needs of the modern chemical industry. Letting the graduates adapt to the job requirements and further study in the future are also its intensions. The course effort focuses on ideas and thoughts on the development of chemical technology and enhancing their ability to think independently, to analyze problems and solve problems. It provides an excellent basis for students’ employment and further development.
Currently, "Chemical Reaction Engineering " is professional orientation courses for undergraduates in Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals academy of our school. And it is offered in the 6th semester of the undergraduate period. It is the core curriculum of Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals innovative training program. Theoretically, teaching hours of chemical technology should be 48 class hours and 3 credit.
