课程简介

Boiler and its Auxiliary Facilitiesis a core course of Thermal Energy and Power Engineering. By taking this course, the students can learn the knowledge of the working principal and the thermodynamics computation of boiler, design of a boiler, choose of the main equipments of boiler, safety issues of boiler, etc. The objective of this course is to provide students with the basic principles of boiler, and the capability of design, management, maintenance, installation of boiler.

(b) Understanding heat transfer process and fluid flow in a boiler

(c) Understanding the solid fuel, liquid fuel and gas fuel combustion process

(d) Understanding the boiler proper, heating surface of a boiler

(e) Understanding the fire tube and water tube boiler

(f) Understanding the boiler with dry-ash furnace, traveling grate boiler and pulverized coal fired boiler

(g) Understanding the strength calculation of pressure parts for boilers

(h) Understanding the method to calculate the heat flux by thermal radiation

(i) Learning the mechanism of a economizer

(j) Understanding the feed water condition and water treatment methods

(k) Learning how to prevent the pollution generated from a boiler
